Introduction
Audrey Vincent, a resident of Killay, has very kindly agreed for CVCP to reproduce a section of her dissertation here. In her retirement, after a career in the police force and security services, Audrey set herself the task of following a BA in Ceramics. Her dissertation “The Brick Industry of the 19th and 20th Century in the Clyne Valley Area of Swansea” was completed in 2000, and included this section about the Killay Brickworks.
