Leycesteria formosa a.k.a. Pheasant Berry or Himalayan Honeysuckle

The Roman Bridge is in better shape after a team of CVCP volunteers spent Wednesday afternoon lopping, trimming and weeding. Brambles and vigorous grasses were removed from the bridge and surrounding pathway to allow smaller flowering plants to flourish, for the benefit of insects, pollinators and butterflies. Leycesteria formosa (AKA pheasant berry or Himalayan honeysuckle) was brought under control, and the large holm oak had a trim. It was a rewarding couple of hours, all the better for good company and activity in the fresh air. Thanks to all who lent a hand.
