It is time to prune the apple trees in Kate’s Orchard. Anna Williams, our Orchard Project mentor, will be leading two sessions – please contact Anna to let her know if you would like to join in [email protected]. The sessions are on Saturday 11th and Wednesday 22nd February, 10:30 until 13:00 (unless the weather is dire). Meet at the Kate’s Orchard sign (just up from the fishing lake, on the Old Railway cycle path) but if you arrive after 10.30 just make your way into the orchard. Come for as long or short a time as you wish, dress warmly and bring a hot drink. Gardening gloves and secateurs will be useful if you have them, but can be provided. Anna is also running a pruning workshop at Swansea Community Farm on Thursday 9th February, if you’d like to help out there and learn some skills.
