Roman Bridge

Yesterday, the volunteers were at the Roman Bridge and around the Old Railway Track at Blackpill. They cleared lots of overhanging branches, tackled some stubborn vegetation and cut back some of the holm oak / holly oak tree (a non-native, invasive plant) that was encroaching the bridge.

If you’d like to know a little more about the Roman Bridge – past and present, there is a link below to the page on our website.

As always, CVCP is so grateful to the number of people who give up their time to keep the Valley as accessible as possible in the time available. A big thank you to: Alun, Chris, Rob, Colin, Jane, Enid, Bob, Nigel and Jayne.
