For those who missed Ian Prothero’s excellent talk about the Geology of Clyne Valley and the surrounding area, he kindly returns for a repeat evening.

Ian Prothero initially studied geology at Wirral Grammar School and then gained a BSc. Hons in the subject at Swansea University in the late 1970s. Most of his career has been as an exploration geologist in the oil industry. In recent years he has presented lectures on oil exploration and local geology. 

Ian is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable speaker. He is keen to integrate geology with just about anything – including history – in the hope of increasing awareness and understanding of his favourite topic.
