Bracken Bashing in Kate’s Orchard
The bracken needs trampling to allow other flora to thrive. Weather permitting we’ll be there at 11.45 on the 26th July. Bring water and maybe a picnic lunch if you’d like to stay on and socialise a little more.
If you are able to come and help with the bracken, meet at the lower entrance to Kate’s Orchard, which is just a few metres north of the fishing lake, on the right hand side. No experience necessary – large feet are an advantage and sturdy shoes are essential. Please wear gloves, long trousers and sleeves for protection. Eye protection can be provided. Consider sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring water or other refreshment.
